Your access to, and use of, this website is subject to the terms and conditions described below and all applicable laws and regulations. By accessing and using this website, you accept these terms and conditions without limitation or qualification. Terms of Account
Access to MailGhost and GhostBox™ services are available only to registered clients.
This agreement is between the paying client and MailGhost. Mail services provided to the client may not be re-sold.
Clients may not use their GhostBox address to open a bank account, acquire prepaid cards, take a loan, gain credit, etc..
Under no circumstances will MailGhost allow anyone who is not related to, or not a representative of, to share the mailing services.
The client is legally responsible for maintaining that the Account is being used legitimately.
Individual Accounts do not have access to Consignment Services or Bespoke Solutions. These are limited to Business Accounts.
Business Accounts enjoy full access to MailGhost services, including Consignment Services and Bespoke Solutions.
Clients are solely responsible for keeping passwords and GhostBox URLs confidential, including all use of the Account. The client must notify MailGhost immediately if they believe their password has been or may be compromised, obtained or used by any unauthorized person or entity. In addition, the client must notify MailGhost immediately if they become aware of any other breach or attempted breach of the security of the Account.
Successful delivery of privacy related products/services is MailGhost’s target 100% of the time. All internal mail is accurately monitored, however due to the quality of service from some postal organisations, MailGhost cannot guarantee the delivery of mail to your GhostBox nor that mail will arrive at its destination. MailGhost does not take legal responsibility or liability for the handling, sending or receiving of any item processed outside of our network. However MailGhost will assist the client with any undelivered mail, including any insurance claims.
Incorrectly Addressed Mail
MailGhost require all mail to be labelled and addressed correctly. If mail arrives unidentifiable, e.g. the GhostBox ID has not been included, the client may be charged a surcharge. MailGhost holds no responsibility in the processing of incorrectly addressed mail.
Recycling of Obvious Junk Mail
This involves the total destruction of mail which MailGhost identify as obvious junk mail, if this option is enabled by the client on their Control Panel.
MailGhost holds no liability for any document, mail, parcel, package or information that has been processed through our recycling service. Any item that has been processed will understandably become totally un-recoverable.
There is no fee for letters and large letters as per Royal Mail’s definition. There may be a small surcharge to recycle packages. Pricing of recycling obvious junk mail may change at any time without prior notice.
All Clients are responsible for all extra freight, courier, customs, handling and forwarding charges. MailGhost is not responsible for the payment of such fees. Such costs are deducted from Client’s Account balance.
The Client may not send or receive any item that is on Royal Mail’s Prohibited Items list.
Opening Mail Items
MailGhost never open mail addressed to a GhostBox ID, unless the ID prefix is “GhostBox” in which case MailGhost open the outer packaging only and send onwards on behalf of clients the pre-packaged and pre-addressed mail items which are inside. MailGhost do not have control over other mail operators who may inspect mail items. MailGhost make every effort to ensure client information is never disclosed.
Ending this Agreement and Suspending Services:
If an Account balance is running low, the mailbox owner will be notified. Clients are not allowed to incur a debit Account balance. If this occurs, there is a surcharge to reactivate an Account. MailGhost provide a real-time summary of client’s Account balance and transaction history via the Portal. It is client’s responsibility to ensure the Account balance is topped-up to prevent dispatch delays and surcharges.
Account Closure by MailGhost
Account closure based on illegal or improper use of services; If MailGhost have reasonable grounds based on solid factual evidence, your Account may be suspended permanently.
MailGhost allows a grace period of up to four weeks to review the case. After this period, any mail may be returned to sender and all remaining funds will be returned to the Account holder.
Account Closure by Client
All clients are responsible for the management of their Account. Closure of Accounts must be performed via the client’s online Control Panel for security reasons.
After an Account is closed, any mail received after the termination date will be returned, unopened, to sender. All mail received prior to the termination date is processed as if before the termination.
Quoted Prices and Weight
The pricing page includes all MailGhost fees, but does not include customs fees, tariffs or taxes at the receiving end. MailGhost charge only for fees incurred, including reception of goods and the forwarding postage fee. MailGhost do not cover any fees at the clients end. If the client requires knowledge of such fees, they should contact their local Customs Office.
The weight of mail items displayed in the Control Panel or discussed by email between clients and MailGhost is only an estimate. All mail is weighed on reception. MailGhost can accurately weight mail to 0.0001kg (0.1g). MailGhost re-weigh mail before dispatch. There can sometimes be discrepancies in the arrival weight and the dispatch weight due to storage conditions, temperature, humidity etc. Typically, the discrepancy is between 0 and 5%.
Quoted prices may increase (or decrease) at anytime without prior notification.
MailGhost offer fixed term GhostBoxes. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure Renewal term is selected via the Control Panel, to prevent loosing their GhostBox ID. MailGhost send clients a reminder by email and also through the Control Panel.
The MailGhost 30 day guarantee covers the Account balance and the GhostBox rental fee.
Mailbox owners must not have received any mail to their GhostBox, nor used their GhostBox for any administrative purpose.
Refunds for PayPal payments are sent to the PayPal email address used to make the purchase. Refunds for Bitcoin payments are processed by either Coinbase or Snapcard (depending which processor the customer used to pay), and any required currency conversion during the refund process will be calculated at a spot rate determined by Coinbase or Snapcard. Refunds for Litecoin and Dogecoin are handled by Snapcard in the same way as Bitcoin refunds. A setup fee of £12.95 is non-refundable due to the processing time involved for both setup and cancellation. Only first-time account subscribers are eligible for a full refund. The money back guarantee cannot be used by the same customer multiple times or for multiple accounts.
Outside of the 30 day guarantee period, refunds are solely at the discretion of MailGhost. On the closure of an Account, MailGhost refund the balance of the client’s Account minus any mail forwarding expenses incurred, and GhostBox rental is refunded on a pro-rated basis after a valid cancellation request is received and accepted. A setup fee of £12.95 is non-refundable due to the processing time involved for both setup and cancellation. Refunds are made by Paypal so a valid Paypal email address is required.
Violations of any part of these Terms waives both the refund and money back guarantee policy.
By registering with MailGhost the client has agreed that they will not initiate a chargeback to their credit card company. Creating a chargeback against MailGhost will result in cancellation of the clients Account. All additional charges incurred by MailGhost will be subject to collection proceedings for the full amount plus the chargeback fee and any other damages incurred by the Account holder’s actions. Any chargeback incurred will automatically assume the client is involved in fraudulent activities.
Instead of issuing a chargeback, please contact MailGhost to address any billing issues.

This website and all of its contents including, but not limited to, all text and images and their arrangement (“Content”), are owned and copyrighted by MailGhost, with all rights reserved, unless otherwise noted. Any Content that is a trademark, logo or service mark is the property of MailGhost or others. Your use of any Content in violation of those rights is strictly prohibited. You may not reproduce, download or otherwise use any such trademark, logo or service mark without the prior written consent of the appropriate owner thereof.

Customer expressly agrees that use of the Company’s services is at the Customer’s sole risk. Neither MailGhost, its employees, agents, resellers, third party information providers, merchants licensers or the like, warrant that the Company’s services will not be interrupted or be error-free; nor do they make any warranty as to the results that might be obtained from the use of the services or as to the accuracy, or reliability of any information service or merchandise contained in or provided through our network, unless otherwise expressly stated in this agreement.
Customer agrees that it shall defend, indemnify, save and hold MailGhost harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, (“Liabilities”) asserted against MailGhost , its agents, its customers, partners or affiliates, servants officers and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by Customer, its agents, employees or assigns. Customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless MailGhost against Liabilities arising out of; any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with MailGhost service, or any material allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, without regard to choice of law provisions that would cause the application of the law of another jurisdiction.
You are prohibited from violating, or attempting to violate, the security of this website. Any such violations may result in criminal and/or civil penalties against you. MailGhost reserves the right to investigate any alleged or suspected violations and will cooperate with law enforcement agencies in their investigations.
MailGhost may revise these terms and conditions at any time without notice. You should revisit these terms and conditions to make sure you are aware of the most recent terms and conditions as they may have been revised, because they will be binding on you. Your use of this website after any such revisions constitutes your agreement to such revisions, and by accessing and using this website you accept its terms and conditions without limitation or qualification. If you do not agree and accept the terms and conditions without limitation or qualification, then you should not use this website or use or print any information from it and you should exit this website.
By reading these Terms and by registering for MailGhost and GhostBox™ services, clients fully understand and agree:
1. To abide by the stated Terms above and that clients understand the services are provided with the strictest standard of confidentiality and efficiency.
2. Although MailGhost services are designed to be absolutely anonymous and secure, MailGhost can not guarantee complete security.
3. MailGhost are not responsible for any direct or indirect misuse that breaks the Laws of any Jurisdiction involved, or the rules and regulations as mandated by the Postal Authorities of any such Jurisdiction.
4. MailGhost is exempt from any liability arising from the loss or delay of any items that are processed through our network. This includes all, but is not limited to, any lost or damaged mail, loss of profits or data loss.
5. Several Postal Authorities may be involved in the transmission of mail. MailGhost cannot guarantee mail when it is not in our immediate control.
6. No items that are covered in Royal Mail’s Prohibited Items List are to be sent to MailGhost. If MailGhost becomes aware of any improper use of our services, this will result in immediate Account closure and denial of service from our server.
7. MailGhost does not provide a Business Export Service nor advise on Export legislation nor act as the Exporter. When clients ask MailGhost to forward items abroad, it is the client’s responsibility to manage and comply with all UK export legislation, including organising any necessary Licences. When clients ask MailGhost to forward items abroad, the client agrees to pay any tax and/or duty charges and all other legislative charges arising from the dispatch. MailGhost will refuse to dispatch items unless compliance with the law is met and funds are available to pay any postage charges + surcharges.
8. MailGhost does not provide a Business Import Service nor advise on Import legislation nor act as the Importer. When clients ask MailGhost to receive items from abroad, it is the client’s responsibility to manage and comply with all UK import legislation, including organising any necessary Licences. When clients ask MailGhost to receive items from abroad, the client agrees to pay any sales tax and/or duty charges and any other legislative charges arising from the receipt. MailGhost will refuse receipt of items unless compliance with the law is met and funds are available to pay any postal charges + surcharges.
9. With reasonable grounds, MailGhost reserves the right to cancel or refuse to provide services at any time without prior notice. Upon cancellation, the Account will be closed and any remaining balance refunded. Any mail held at MailGhost may be returned to sender.
