Q: Do I need to provide any ID?

A: Nope. No ID required.

Q: How do I sign up?

A: Head over to the Pricing page and select a package. You’ll be redirected to a registration form which you’ll need to fill in. Once you’ve filled in the registration form you’ll be redirected to the payment page where you can select the method of payment. Once payment is complete you’ll receive login details and your new address.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept PayPal, Debit/Credit Card, Western Union, Cash, Bitcoin and other crypto currencies.

Q: What is a GhostBox ID?

A: It’s usually a numerical, alpha numerical or sometimes a name or phrase that you choose so we can identify your mail. It is usually placed on the first line of the address after the actual address. For example, let’s say the address is:

37 Demo Street
M5 7JZ

And you choose a GhostBox ID of: 123

Then this could look like:

John Smith
Office 123
37 Demo Street
M5 7JZ

Q: Do I have to use my real name for receving any mail?

A: No, you can use any name you wish. In fact, you can choose a different name for each piece of mail sent/received. But, your GhostBox ID needs to remain the same otherwise we won’t be able to identify your mail.

Q: Can I change my GhostBox ID?

A: Yes, you can. Please email us with your old and new GhostBox ID so we can change your GhostBox ID.

Q: Do you keep any records of mail forwarded?

A: No, your privacy is our number #1 priority. Therefore we do not keep any records of any mail forwarded. However, if you couriers will sometimes keep records if your mail is sent through “tracked” mail. That’s why we urge customers to never send their mail as tracked if they are extremely concerned with records being saved by courier companies.

Q: Do you open letters/parcels?

A: No, never. Unless you give us written permission to do so.

Q: Where are your addresses located?

A: We have a UK address in Stretford, Greater Manchester.

Q: Can I use your forwarding service without subscribing?

A: Yes, of course. However, we charge the following handling fees:

  • 5.95 GBP per letter.
  • 9.95 GBP per parcel.

Total forwarding cost = handling fees + postage costs

We can also scan letters for 1 GBP per letter

Q: Can I have an address for a premium just for me?

A: Yes, you can have an address all to yourself with a dedicated assistant for a minimum of 12 months. A unique address with a dedicated assistant is for 699 GBP for a 12 month subscription (which includes 100 GBP forwarding balance). However, we can customize a package just for you if you’re looking for something else. Contact us here to get a free quote.

Q: How do I enable email end-to-end encryption so I can message you securely?

A: There are two ways to do this:

1. You can drop us an email requesting us to enable end-to-end encryption. We’ll then ask for a physical address so we can send you a passcode to your physical address. This means it will take a few days before you get the passcode.

2. You can create a free Tutanota email account and send us an email using that email. End-to-end encryption will be automatically enabled if you use Tutanota. This is the easiest and fastest option. [Recommended]

Q: Can I come and pick up my mail at your address?

Unfortunately, we do not accept pickups at any of our locations especially surprise pick ups (without an appointment). We can however arrange for pickups under rare circumstances. Contact us for this. Pick ups are charged at a fixed rate of 5.95 GBP. Surprise pickups are charged further IF postage stamps were bought.
